In 2003 the Arthur Goodman Strong (AGS) Memorial Scholarship was established, awarding scholarships only to recipients with a disability or impairment. Starting in 2004, awards funded by this scholarship have been given to students in public and private universities, colleges, and community colleges. Students dealing with serious personal challenges appreciate this particular financial support.
This is a scholarship for 1 year. Recipients must reapply each year for continued consideration. The number and amounts of scholarship awarded depends upon the number of qualified applicants and the available funds. The amounts each year will vary.
This renewable award is given to eligible students planning on or continuing post secondary education or occupational training.
Scholarships may be used for academic and lab fees, books, tuition, and required material for the course of instruction.
